The following explanation is provided for why this data is collected:

Visitor information is primarily used to analyze the use of the site by anonymous visitors and retain home search preferences for the convenience of the visitor. Visitor information is retained for up to 30 to 90 days after the last visit. We set a "Customer Preferences" session cookie to store a randomly generated id to keep track of the state of the site while the visitor is using the site. This cookie expires 30 minutes from the last time a page is accessed by the visitor. We also set a "Customer ID" cookie to store a randomly generated id to identify stored visitor search preferences and the agent assigned to the visitor. This cookie expires 60 days after the last visit to the site. Stored information from visitors with expired "ID" cookies is generally purged from our database quarterly.

Visitor information is a unique user name and email address entered by the user at registration. This information allows users access to some of the advanced features of the site including the feature to save the users "Window Shopping" Cart (sm). Information is stored on a database record with the user name as the unique identifier.

Client information is entered once and used several times to efficiently manage the client's transaction. With client's permission, this information is available as needed to members of the client's transaction management team.

Policy Evaluation

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 will evaluate this policy's compact policy whenever it is used with a cookie. The actions IE will take depend on what privacy level the user has selected in their browser (Low, Medium, Medium High, or High; the default is Medium. In addition, IE will examine whether the cookie's policy is considered satisfactory or unsatisfactory, whether the cookie is a session cookie or a persistent cookie, and whether the cookie is used in a first-party or third-party context. This section will attempt to evaluate this policy's compact policy against Microsoft's stated behavior for IE6.

Note: this evaluation is currently experimental and should not be considered a substitute for testing with a real Web browser.
